Job summary

Rumpke is seeking a Residential Rear Load Driver to service customers with waste and recycling collection. You will operate various trucks across multiple routes, perform pre/post trip inspections, and maintain accurate logs while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires a valid Class B CDL and DOT Medical Card, with the ability to lift and move bins, work outdoors in varying conditions, and work nights/weekends as needed. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand a map.
• Ability to enter/exit the truck approximately 300-500 times per day.
• Excellent truck driving/maneuvering skills.
• General knowledge of truck mechanics.
• Good written and verbal communication skills to interact with customers.
• Must be able to read and speak English well.

Responsibilities

• Provide trash or recycling removal services to customers, safely and compliantly.
• Routinely enter/exit the truck approximately 300-500 times per day.
• May pull or push containers from enclosures or inside buildings.
• Replace receptacles neatly at curb or designated area.
• Clean up waste spills and overflows.
• Maintain and update route and driver logs.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete logs.
• Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
• Clean waste from packer blade and truck body; keep cab clean.
• Deliver trash or recycling containers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
