Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Residential Rear Load Driver to service customers by collecting waste and recycling on daily routes. The role requires a Class B CDL, DOT medical card, and strong safety practices.

You will frequently enter/exit the truck, navigate routes via maps, and interact professionally with customers. The position includes pre/post trip inspections, logging, and potential night/weekend hours with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class B CDL.
• Must have a valid DOT Medical Card or able to obtain prior to hire.
• U.S. work authorization.
• No major driving violations within the last 2 years or as per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide trash or recycling removal services to customers, in a safe and compliant way.
• Routinely enter/exit the truck approximately 300-500 times per day.
• May be required to pull or push containers from enclosures or inside buildings.
• Replace trash/recycling receptacles neatly at the curb or designated area.
• Clean up waste spills and overflows.
• Maintain and update route & driver log sheets.
• Conduct pre-trip/post trip inspections and complete logs.
• Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
• Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body and ensure cleanliness of truck cab.
• Deliver trash or recycling containers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
