Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Residential Rear Load Driver to service customers with waste and recycling collection across various routes. You'll operate multiple truck types, perform frequent entry/exit from the cab, and ensure safe, timely pickups.

Required are a valid Class B CDL and a DOT Medical Card, plus being at least 19 years old. You must read/write English, avoid recent major violations, and be willing to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a valid Class B CDL.
• Must have a valid DOT Medical Card or be able to obtain prior to hire.
• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years.
• Must not have any DUI's or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years.
• Must be able to read and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Provide trash or recycling removal services to customers, in a safe and compliant way, by emptying trash/recycling containers into truck and hauling to disposal site.
• Routinely enter/exit the truck approximately 300-500 times per day, depending on the assigned route.
• May be required to pull or push containers from enclosures or inside buildings.
• Replace trash/recycling receptacles neatly at the curb or designated area.
• Clean up waste spills and overflows.
• Maintain and update route & driver log sheets.
• Conduct pre-trip/post trip inspections and complete logs.
• Professionally interact with internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service.
