Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Residential Rear Load Driver to service trash and recycling routes with safety and customer service in mind. You will operate various trucks, perform pre/post inspections, and maintain logs and routes while interacting professionally with customers.

The role requires a valid Class B CDL, DOT Medical Card, and the ability to work nights/weekends as needed. High school diploma or GED preferred; uniform benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Role requires ability to read and understand maps.
• Must be able to enter/exit the truck 300–500 times per day.
• Excellent truck driving and maneuvering skills.
• General knowledge of truck mechanics is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers.
• Must read/write/speak English adequately for safety and directions.

Responsibilities

• Provide trash or recycling removal services safely and compliantly.
• Enter/exit the truck frequently (300–500 times/day).
• Move containers from enclosures or buildings as needed.
• Replace receptacles at curb or designated areas.
• Clean spills and maintain cleanliness of truck.
• Maintain route and driver logs; perform pre/post trip inspections.
• Interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
• Deliver containers as needed; perform other duties as assigned.
