Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Residential Rear Load Driver to service customers with trash and recycling collection across routes. You will operate various trucks, perform routine safety checks, and maintain accurate route logs.

Ideal candidates have a valid Class B CDL, DOT card, and the ability to work nights and weekends. You will be part of a team that values safety, service, and reliable community support.

Qualifications

• Able to read and understand maps and routes.
• Able to repeatedly enter/exit the truck (300–500 times per day).
• General knowledge of truck mechanics and safety checks.
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers and team.

Responsibilities

• Provide trash or recycling removal safely and per route.
• Routinely enter/exit the truck many times daily.
• Handle curbside container placement and site cleanups.
• Maintain route and driver logs; perform pre/post trip inspections.
