Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a CDL driver responsible for operating tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles. The role involves pre-trip and post-trip safety checks, logging hours, and following dispatch instructions to ensure on-time deliveries.

Must hold a Class A CDL or CLP, maintain a clean MVR, and comply with DOT regulations. Occasional night trips and hazardous materials handling may apply. ADA assistance available via email.

Qualifications

• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete required training.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combination, including doubles and/or straight trucks.
• Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and inter-trip safety inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies to/from a tractor and/or trailer.
• Maintain accurate daily logs.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Communicate with Dispatch regarding delays, arrivals, equipment problems, etc.
