Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess a CDL (Class A) or a commercial learner permit (CLP) prior to entering job classification.
• Must meet DOT regulatory requirements and have a valid MVR.
• Strong written and verbal communication and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer and doubles/straight trucks, including performing safety inspections.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and complete required documentation.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate about delays, equipment issues, or other events.
• Comply with hazmat regulations and placarding as required.
• Assist with city driver or freight handling duties when needed.
