Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a driver to operate tractor-trailer units, including doubles and straight trucks, and perform safety inspections and dock duties as needed. Responsibilities include logging, paperwork, and following Dispatch instructions.

CDL or CLP required, DOT regulations compliance, and ability to handle freight and equipment. Equipment may require overnight stays. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Must meet DOT regulatory requirements under FMC regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer including doubles and/or straight trucks.
• Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and logs.
• Hook/unhook trailers and convertor dollies.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and required documentation.
• Communicate with Dispatch and follow instructions.
• Comply with hazmat regulations and ensure placarding matches shipments.
• Perform freight handling using forklift, pallet jack, hand truck as needed.
