Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to Operating Company locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations. You will operate a tandem tractor/trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, maintaining safety and DOT compliance.

duties include safety checks, reporting hazards, following DOT rules, preparing route paperwork, and timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• Doubles endorsement required.

Responsibilities

• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations and inspects equipment for safety.
• Reports safety issues and/or repairs as needed.
• Follows DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; reports hazards and checks freight security.
• Ensures route paperwork is with the load and ready at dispatch.
• Drives and delivers trailers per route schedule.
• Performs hook/unhook per safety guidelines.
