Job summary

Performance Food Group's shuttle driver role supports our warehouse network by transporting empty trailers and turning around full trailers for domicile or shuttle yards. You will operate tandem, tractor, or straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes, complying with DOT regulations and company safety guidelines.

The position is a 3rd shift Sunday–Thursday, with a nightly schedule from 6pm to 8pm dispatch; pay ranges from $204 to $255 per night, reflecting experience and location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 12 months commercial driving experience required.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement required.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Work 3rd shift schedule, Sunday–Thursday nights.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
• Able to lift and move product cases/freight up to 90 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Report safety issues or needed repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; inspect trailer load security.
• Ensure route paperwork is with tractor/trailer for dispatch.
• Drive and deliver trailers per schedule; hook/unhook procedures.
• Park and store tractors/trailers in designated areas.
• Secure freight and return damaged goods to base; complete paperwork.
• Document hours of service daily as required.
• Maintain cleanliness of tractor, loading dock, and trailers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
