Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to warehouses and return full trailers to domicile yards. You will operate tandem/tractor trailers and ensure safe, DOT-compliant handling of freight on intrastate routes.

The role requires 21+, valid CDL A with doubles, 12 months driving, and a clean MVR. Night shifts Sunday–Thursday, with safety checks and logs required. Benefits begin Day 1 and include health, 401K, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 12 months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Report safety issues and needed repairs.
• Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety guidelines.
• Maintain route paperwork with tractor-trailer load for dispatch.
• Drive and deliver trailers on scheduled routes.
• Perform hook/unhook per safety guidelines.
• Park and store tractor trailers in designated areas.
• Secure equipment and freight at all times.
• Handle damaged goods and returns in trailer and complete paperwork.
• Unload equipment and keep trailers clean.
• Record hours of service daily and log per regulations.
• Perform other duties to support the company.
