Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to Operating Company locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations. You will operate tandem, tractor, or straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes with DOT-compliant safety and timeliness.

The role requires a CDL A with doubles, 3rd shift availability, and the ability to perform safety checks and secure cargo.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 6–12 months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years or older and meet state licensing requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Willingness to work 3rd shift, Sunday–Thursday nights.
• Pass pre-employment drug test and road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure one.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks on tractor/trailer and comply with DOT regulations.
• Report safety issues and needed repairs.
• Drive and deliver trailers on predetermined routes.
• Hook/unhook trailers safely and securely.
• Maintain logs of hours of service per DOT/state requirements.
• Keep equipment and yards clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
