Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations. You will operate tandem tractor/trailer and/or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, adhering to DOT rules and safety standards.

Strong communication with customers and team members is essential. Responsibilities include safety checks, reporting issues, securing loads, completing paperwork, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• Requires 12+ months commercial driving experience.
• Must be 21 years or older; valid CDL A with Doubles endorsement.
• DOT health card and ability to obtain one.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Report safety issues and repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Inspect trailer loads for proper securing and paperwork.
• Drive and deliver trailers per route schedule.
• Perform hook/unhook procedures safely.
• Park and store tractors/trailers in designated areas.
• Ensure all equipment and freight are secured.
• Record hours of service per regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness of tractor, dock area, and trailers.
