Job summary

Performance Food Group in the United States is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile yards. You will operate tandem/tractor/straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes, adhere to DOT regulations, and communicate with customers and teammates to ensure timely, accurate service.

Qualifications

• 12 months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Work third shift schedule, Sunday-Thursday nights.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Valid current DOT Health Card.
• Able to hand-lift and move freight of varying size and weight (60–90 pounds).

Responsibilities

• Performs safety checks including pre/post trip inspections per DOT rules.
• Reports safety issues and required repairs.
• Follows DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Inspects trailer for proper loading and secured freight.
• Delivers trailers according to route schedule and handles paperwork.
• Connects/disconnects trailers, parks and secures equipment.
• Manages damaged goods and returns in trailers and completes paperwork.
• Unloads equipment and maintains trailer cleanliness and order.
• Completes daily hours-of-service records per regulations.
