Nationwide is seeking a Field Claims Specialist II for the National Catastrophe Property - Personal Lines. This field role involves traveling to catastrophe zones nationwide to assess damage, determine coverage, and guide policyholders through the claims process with empathy and professionalism.

You will conduct on-site inspections, resolve complex claims, and collaborate with internal teams while maintaining regulatory compliance and timely resolutions.

Qualifications

• Education: Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
• Licensing: State licensing where required; Xactimate certs within 1–2 years.
• Experience: 3–5 years in property claims; customer service background.
• Knowledge: Insurance theory and claims practices; CAT experience.

Responsabilités

• Conduct on-site property inspections and damage assessments in catastrophe zones.
• Investigate and resolve moderate to complex property claims from start to finish.
• Determine policy coverages and prepare estimates using Xactimate.
• Own the full lifecycle of claims, including reserving and documentation.
• Partner with Special Investigations and Subrogation to identify fraud and subrogation.
• Provide proactive updates to customers throughout the claims process.
