Redwood Logistics, located in Chicago, seeks a Carrier Development Representative to identify and nurture carrier partnerships within our freight brokerage. You will build strategic carrier profiles, source new capacity, and drive profitability while delivering exceptional service.

Role requires excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a proactive, results-driven mindset in a fast-paced environment. Hybrid schedule with onsite training and subsequent office + remote days.

Responsibilities

• Identify, source, and develop strong business relationships with service providers.
• Expand carrier profiles through research and networking to align Redwood truckload sales opportunities.
• Make 80+ dials per day to engage carrier partners.
• Understand macro-market conditions and impact on truckload rates and capacity.
• Negotiate freight rates to motor carriers to maximize profitability.
• Coordinate customer freight with available motor carrier equipment.
• Provide service and support to motor carriers to grow the business.
