Job summary

Redwood Logistics seeks a Carrier Development Representative to identify, source, and develop carrier partnerships within our freight brokerage. You will help maximize profitability and customer satisfaction by building strategic relationships.

This full-time, onsite-to-hybrid role starts with training on our platform, then four days in the office and one remote day per week. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, networking, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Results-driven and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Sales or related industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Expand knowledge of transportation industry within carrier sales and Redwood operations.
• Build and maintain strategic carrier profiles through research and networking and aligning Redwood truckload sales opportunities.
• Actively engage carrier partners primarily by phone, targeting 80+ dials per day.
• Build understanding of macro-market conditions and how it has an impact on truckload rates and capacity.
• Learn to and negotiate freight rates to motor carriers to maximize profitability on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly basis.
• Coordinate available customer freight with available motor carrier equipment, while utilizing Redwood's internal postings.
