AdaptHealth is seeking an Intake Specialist to coordinate referrals, review clinical documentation, and confirm eligibility for services. You will work with patients, providers, and internal teams to navigate payer requirements and ensure accurate setup of intake processes.

This role suits detail-oriented individuals who communicate clearly and collaborate across departments in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Prior healthcare admin experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• One year of relatable work experience required
• High school diploma or associate degree in a related field
• Experience in management, admin, clerical, insurance, billing, or call center is preferred
• Healthcare environment experience is a plus
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem solving abilities
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and payer guidelines to determine eligibility
• Communicate with patients about financial responsibility and document interactions
• Coordinate with referral sources, physicians, and clinical teams
• Enter referrals within established timeframes and maintain documentation
• Support inventory and service scheduling with leadership
• Collaborate with sales, insurance verification, and internal teams
