RWJBarnabas Health's Cardio Progressive Care Unit at New Brunswick is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a part-time day shift. The 34-bed unit handles telemetry, medical-surgical, and intermediate care for post-procedural and cardiac patients.

The RN will assess patients, administer medications, document in EPIC, and educate families while collaborating with physicians and the care team. NJ RN licensure with BLS is required; BSN preferred, and ACLS is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
• At least 1 year of acute care RN experience required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing strongly preferred or to be completed within 5 years of hire.
• National Board Certification and ACLS preferred or to be obtained within 6 months of employment.
• Prior 2-3 years of RN experience in acute care is highly preferred.
• Comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC.

• Assess patients comprehensively and recognize clinical changes early.
• Administer safe, evidence-based medications and hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers for timely, coordinated decisions.
