Job summary
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for our RWJMS Cardiology department in New Brunswick, NJ. This day-shift, full-time role offers a competitive hourly wage and a collaborative team environment backed by a leading New Jersey academic health system.
Responsibilities include patient assessments, medication administration, anticoagulation management, EMR documentation, and coordinated care with cardiology physicians. Licensure and BLS are required; ACLS is a plus.
Qualifications
- Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
- ACLS certification from AHA a plus.
- 1 year of RN experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments for chest pain, palpitations, shortness of breath, and recognize clinical changes.
- Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments and hands-on care.
- Manage anticoagulation/coumadin dosing per protocols and provider guidance.
- Administer injections per orders and protocols.
- Manage telephone triage for cardiac patients.
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams for timely decisions.
