Qualifikationen

• High School degree or GED required; must pass annual registration competency exam.
• Demonstrated customer service ability to interact with the public, staff and patients preferred.
• Proven customer service experience; knowledge of medical office operations including scheduling, registration, EMR, patient flow, billing, coding, charge capture, referrals, authorizations, payer guidelines, compliance, credentials, privileges, regulatory agencies, and DNV standards; familiarity with medical terminology preferred.

Aufgaben

• Obtain all prior authorizations and precerts for the Cardiovascular Institute, including testing and procedures.
• Obtain and manage VA insurance referrals.
• Obtain PCP insurance referrals when necessary.
• Manage precert work queue in a timely manner.
• Verify insurance and demographic information for accurate referrals and precerts.
• Process and route incoming calls and respond to inquiries.
• Greet and assist patients; secure signatures for required documents; adhere to CHMG policies.
• Assist with collections education and reconcile lists and reports.
• Coordinate patient care across primary, specialty and ancillary services.
• Welcome and intake patient information; create and maintain medical records.
• Schedule, confirm or reschedule appointments; run Televox reports; promote Patient Connect enrollment.
• Support a patient-centered medical home culture by saying yes where possible.
• Work independently and in teams on projects and events; coordinate complex activities.
