Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support direct and indirect care in operative settings. You will scrub for procedures, prepare sterile fields, and assist the surgeon throughout various cases.

The role emphasizes efficiency, teamwork, and safety in a dynamic operating room environment. Qualifications include an Associate degree or Certificate in Surgical Technology and BLS certification within 3 months; 1+ year experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 3 months (AHA).
• Associate degree or certificate in Surgical Technology.
• 1+ year experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon’s procedures with accurate timing and efficiency.
• Ensure instruments and supplies are complete and functional.
• Set up sterile field and stay scrubbed prior to induction.
• Assist with back table and mayo setup; anticipate case needs.
• Communicate and collaborate with surgeons and circulating RN during cases.
