Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer knowledge required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to arrange interpreter services when needed.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs unit-based reception, clerical, medical record and patient registration tasks.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families and staff, and coordinates care needs.
• Coordinates work with the Manager and Charge Nurse to manage unit workflow.
• Retrieves lab results and brings them to the nurse caring for the patient.
• Maintains patient records, census lists and related documentation.
• Supports opportunities for continuous improvement and cost reduction.
