Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital is seeking a Part Time Health Unit Coordinator for the Cardiac Intermediate unit (3A). The role supports reception, clerical tasks, medical records, and patient registration, ensuring smooth workflow with the charge RN and managers.

Expect strong customer service, English communication, and basic computer use. Two 8-hour evening shifts per week (3pm-11:30pm) with rotating weekends, on a 26-bed cardiac step-down unit within the BCVI network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong customer service skills with clear communication in English.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to navigate hospital systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs unit-based reception, clerical, medical record and patient registration functions.
• Provides timely updates to patients and customers and directs questions to appropriate resources.
• Interacts with patients, families and staff to ensure smooth unit operations and timely information.
