Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an experienced echocardiography specialist to provide high-quality ultrasound images of the heart and great vessels for adult patients. The role includes assistance with exercise and pharmacologic stress testing, and collaboration with cardiology for accurate diagnosis.

The position emphasizes artifact recognition, precise imaging, and professional growth within a multidisciplinary cardiac imaging team.

Qualifications

• Certifications: ARDMS or CCI registration within 1 year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes knowledge of age specific needs of patients in performance of duties.
• Operates ultrasound with focus on cardiac structures from parasternal, apical, subcostal and suprasternal views.
• Assesses left/right ventricular function, valvular function and Doppler interpretation.
• Performs stress echocardiography and assists with TEE as needed.
• Maintains documentation in the charting system and coordinates with cardiology.
• Ensures image quality, minimizes artifacts and selects appropriate transducers.
