Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an echocardiography technologist to provide high-quality ultrasound imaging of the heart and great vessels for adult patients. The role supports cardiology services, including stress testing and coordination with the cardiologist for interpretation and patient care.

The position requires ARDMS or CCI registration within 1 year and BLS within 30 days, with new grads welcome. Relocation and sign-on bonuses may be available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI registration required within 1 year.
• Education: Sonography or related field.
• New grads accepted.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality two-dimensional ultrasound studies of the heart and great vessels.
• Identify EKG abnormalities and arrhythmias.
• Apply age-appropriate care and positioning for optimal images.
• Use Doppler, color flow, and M-Mode techniques to assess cardiac structure and function.
• Assess valvular disease and blood flow velocities.
• Prepare imaging in four views: parasternal, apical, subcostal, suprasternal.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and adjust controls for image quality.
• Collaborate with cardiologist; report results.
