Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a sonography professional to provide high-quality echocardiography studies for adult patients. The role involves assisting with exercise and pharmacologic stress testing, interpreting EKG findings, and collaborating with cardiology to ensure accurate diagnostic results.

Qualifications include ARDMS or CCI registration within 1 year, BLS within 30 days, and a background in sonography or a related field; new grads are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality two-dimensional ultrasound studies of the heart and great vessels, and identifies EKG abnormalities and/or arrhythmia.
• Uses knowledge of patient positioning, breathing techniques, and transducer placement to obtain optimal cardiac images.
• Recognizes abnormalities in structure and function and reports imaging artifacts.
• Assists in performing stress echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiograms as needed.
• Maintains documentation and communicates results to the cardiologist in a timely manner.

Education
