Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an Echocardiography Technologist to provide high-quality ultrasound imaging of the heart and great vessels for adult patients. Role includes support during exercise and pharmacologic stress tests and collaboration with cardiology for accurate interpretation.

Responsibilities cover image acquisition, Doppler assessments, TEE assistance, and participation in mobile echo services. New grads are welcome and sign-on/relocation bonuses may be offered.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI registration within 1 year.
• BLS within 30 days (AHA).
• Sonography or related field.

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality two-dimensional ultrasound studies of the heart and great vessels.
• Identify EKG abnormalities and/or arrhythmia.
• Use age-specific care and proper patient positioning for optimal images.
• Apply M-Mode techniques to measure cardiac dimensions.
• Evaluate valvular function with color Doppler and Doppler flows.
• Assess blood flow, velocities, stenosis, and shunts with Doppler.
• Utilize contrast echocardiography when needed.
• Assist in transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE).
• Communicate results to cardiologist and document findings.
• Participate in mobile echo/vascular service regionally.

Education

ARDMS or CCI registration

Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days
