Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an experienced echocardiography professional to provide high-quality ultrasound images of the heart and great vessels for adult patients. The role includes technical support during exercise and pharmacological stress testing, plus collaboration with cardiology for accurate interpretation.

The position offers sign-on and relocation bonuses for qualified candidates, ongoing education, and participation in mobile echo services across the region.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI registration within 1 year and BLS within 30 days.
• Sonography or related field education required.
• Accept New Grads

Responsibilities

• Utilizes knowledge of age specific needs of patients in performance of everyday duties.
• Positioning and technique for optimal cardiac imaging across parasternal, apical, subcostal and suprasternal views.
• Recognizes abnormalities and artifacts; assesses left/right ventricular function and valvular issues.
• Operates ultrasound equipment and selects appropriate transducers for best resolution and penetration.
• Communicates results to cardiologists and documents findings in a timely manner.
• Participates in mobile echo/vascular service regionally and in callback rotations.

Education
