Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a skilled cardiac ultrasound technologist to provide high-quality ultrasound imaging of the heart and great vessels for adult patients. The role includes assisting with stress testing and collaborating with cardiology to interpret results.

Candidates should hold ARDMS or CCI registration, be BLS certified within 30 days, and possess training in sonography or a related field. New graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI registration within 1 year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days.
• Education: Sonography or Related field.
• Accept New Grads.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality two-dimensional ultrasound studies of the heart and great vessels, including EKG assessment.
• Use of imaging and Doppler techniques to investigate clinical questions with proper patient positioning.
• Recognizes abnormalities, artifacts, and evaluates left and right ventricular function.
• Performs M-Mode measurements for cardiac dimensions at precise times.
• Assists in stress echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) as needed.
• Documents results and correlates findings with cardiologist for clarification.
