Job summary

Carle Health seeks an Echocardiography Technologist to provide high-quality ultrasound imaging of the heart and great vessels for adult patients. The role includes assistive support for exercise and pharmacologic stress testing, and related duties as assigned.

The position involves performing comprehensive imaging, recognizing abnormalities, and working with cardiology to ensure accurate interpretation. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI registration within 1 year is required.
• Education in Sonography or related field is required.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality two-dimensional ultrasound studies of the heart and great vessels, and identifies EKG abnormalities.
• Uses age-appropriate techniques and transducer positioning to obtain optimal cardiac images.
• Assesses cardiac structure and function, including Doppler and color flow imaging.
• Performs M-Mode measurements and evaluates valve function and flow patterns.
• Assists in transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) and communicates results to cardiologists.

Education

Sonography or Related field

ARDMS or CCI registration within 1 year

BLS within 30 days - American Heart Association
