Job summary

AFFIRM is seeking a Compliance Manager to own advisory for the AFFIRM Card program, ensuring compliance across marketing, onboarding, disputes, and remediation. You will partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations to ship card features that meet regulatory requirements and sustain long-term compliance.

Apply your deep knowledge of EFTA, Reg E, TILA Reg Z/Card Act, and card network rules while guiding teams through ambiguous scenarios.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of compliance advisory in financial services; Bachelor's required (6+ with a Master’s) or equivalent.
• Deep knowledge of EFTA Reg E and TILA Reg Z/CARD Act; familiarity with UDAAP and Reg DD a plus.
• Hands-on experience with card products, payments, and card network rules (Visa, Mastercard).
• Proven ability to work independently in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and escalate when needed.
• Experience partnering with Product, Engineering, and Operations on risk-based decisions.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to present complex issues to non-compliance audiences.
• Self-directed with strategic thinking; able to advocate for risk-informed product decisions.
• Proactive in identifying problems and proposing practical, business-aware solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end compliance advisory for the AFFIRM Card program across marketing, onboarding, wallets, disputes, and servicing.
• Navigate novel regulatory questions with sound judgment and escalate when warranted.
• Review and approve marketing disclosures and UX for regulatory compliance and consumer protection.
• Lead root-cause analysis and durable remediation of card compliance issues.
• Collaborate with Compliance Testing, Legal, and Risk for exams and audits.
• Maintain the Card program's compliance risk assessment and control inventory.
• Develop and maintain Card-specific compliance training and reference materials.
• Serve as the go-to compliance expert for new Card features, surfacing risk early.
