Job summary

AFFIRM is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to own compliance advisory for the AFFIRM Card program. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations to ship compliant card features from concept through launch, navigating EFTA, Reg Z, and UDAAP requirements.

You will review marketing, disclosures, and UX for regulatory alignment, lead remediation efforts, and support regulatory exams and audits. This remote-first role offers a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in a compliance advisory role within financial services with a Bachelor's degree (6+ years with a Master's degree, or 3+ years with a PhD, or equivalent)
• Deep working knowledge of EFTA (Reg E) and TILA (Reg Z)/CARD Act as applied to card products, plus familiarity with TISA (Reg DD) and UDAAP; hands-on experience with card network rules (e.g., Visa, Mastercard) is a big plus
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and make risk-based decisions
• Experience partnering with Product, Engineering, and Operations on card-related initiatives

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end compliance advisory for the AFFIRM Card program, including card marketing, onboarding, wallets, disputes, and servicing
• Assess and address regulatory questions with sound judgment
• Review and approve marketing disclosures and UX for regulatory compliance
• Lead root-cause analysis and remediation for card compliance issues
• Support regulatory exams and audits with cross-functional teams
• Maintain the Card program's compliance risk assessment and control inventory
• Develop and update compliance training and reference materials
• Serve as the go-to compliance expert on new card features from concept to launch
