Job summary

AFFIRM is seeking a Compliance Manager to own compliance advisory for the AFFIRM Card program, partnering with Product, Engineering, and Operations to ensure features are compliant and scalable.

You will navigate complex regulatory questions, review marketing and disclosures, and lead remediation efforts. This role requires independent judgment, strong communication, and collaboration in a remote‑first environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in compliance advisory in financial services with card/payments experience.
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees or certifications a plus.
• Experience presenting regulatory issues to leadership and cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end compliance advisory for the AFFIRM Card program across marketing, onboarding, and disputes.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations throughout the development lifecycle.
• Navigate regulatory questions under EFTA, Reg Z, CARD Act, and UDAAP, escalating when needed.
• Review AFFIRM Card marketing, disclosures, and UX for regulatory compliance.
• Lead root‑cause analysis and durable remediation of card compliance issues.
• Prepare for regulatory exams and bank partner audits with Risk and Legal teams.
• Maintain the Card program's compliance risk assessment and control inventory.
• Develop and maintain Card‑specific compliance training and reference materials.
• Be the compliance expert for new Card features and early risk surfacing.
