Job summary

CarMax is hiring a Customer Service Consultant to bridge at-home and in-store experiences. You will respond to sales leads and customer inquiries, guiding buyers to vehicles that fit their needs and helping throughout the car purchase journey.

In a high-energy sales environment, you will build rapport, meet targets, and mentor others while delivering an iconic customer experience. Flexibility with shifts and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Sales and customer service experience in retail is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to learn new technologies.
• Open availability for nights, weekends and holidays; willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Connect with inbound customers online and by phone to assess needs for next car purchase.
• Use CarMax inventory knowledge to guide customers toward suitable vehicles.
• Assist through online sales, appraisal, financing, and scheduling vehicle delivery.
• Ensure seamless online-to-in-store transition and provide outstanding service.
• Mentor teammates as skills grow and targets are met.
• Achieve sales targets while maintaining an iconic customer experience.
• Possibly obtain Automotive Sales Persons License in certain states.
