Job summary

UCI Health in Orange, CA is seeking a patient services representative to schedule specialty referrals and modify appointments. You will handle outbound calls within the Cancer Center and respond to inbound inquiries, applying clinic-specific scheduling rules.

The role includes acting as a preceptor for new staff, leveraging Epic or other EMR systems, and collaborating with multiple clinics to ensure timely, accurate scheduling and excellent patient service.

Qualifications

• 1+ year customer service with electronic medical scheduling system (Quest, Epic, etc.).
• 1+ year scheduling appointments for multiple medical specialty clinics.
• Experience with MS Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Knowledge of insurance/government programs.
• Experience using office equipment (printer, copier, fax, scanner).
• Computing skills including data entry and retrieval.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to build relationships across the Health System.
