Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking an on-site Campus Technician to support technology operations across assigned Florida campuses. The role focuses on hardware/software maintenance, on-site troubleshooting, and assisting with district technology projects and staff deployments.

Collaboration with the Technology Operations team ensures instructional technology support aligns with campus needs. Ideal candidates bring two years of technical support experience, strong problem-solving and communication

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Two years of technical support experience.
• Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications.
• Ability to analyze and resolve hardware and software problems.
• Knowledge of technologies available for use in instructional setting.
• Ability to repair computer and technology equipment.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with and report to APO on campus technology requests.
• Communicate with clients within 24 hours about repairs.
• Collaborate with Helpdesk manager on reporting and trends.
• Complete standard tickets on time and follow up with customers.
• Encourage a Helpdesk culture on campus with great customer service.
• Offer technology quotes and solutions for assigned campuses.
• Educate end users after a job is complete to share knowledge.
• Check back with customers to ensure reliability after service.
• Ensure every ticket is bookended with customer communication.
• Outline tasks and milestones and coordinate with stakeholders.
