Job summary

EMCOR Facilities Services in Massachusetts is seeking an Associate Facilities Manager to oversee campus‑wide systems, coordinate maintenance, and support critical infrastructure across office and lab spaces.

You will manage vendor services, monitor BAS/EMS alarms, and coordinate emergency response, ensuring safe, reliable operations while collaborating with Facilities, EHS, Security, IT, and lab staff. Strong technical knowledge and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering Technology, Building Operations, or a related discipline.
• Experience supporting laboratory, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, higher education, or research facilities.
• Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and computerized alarm management platforms.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals; write routine reports and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, schedule, and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for building systems and equipment.
• Manage daily interactions with contractors and service providers ensuring safety and contract compliance.
• Submit, track, and complete work requests; support campus upkeep and facility improvements.
• Monitor BAS/EMS alarms and coordinate troubleshooting with internal teams and vendors.
• Collaborate with Facilities, EHS, Security, IT, and Laboratory Operations for multi‑department coordination.
• Provide daily status updates and communicate project updates to stakeholders.
