Job summary

EMCOR Facilities Services is seeking a Facilities Specialist to operate, maintain, and improve building systems across commercial, industrial, and manufacturing environments. You will deliver preventive maintenance, monitor BAS and utility performance, and coordinate with vendors while balancing hands-on tasks with planning and project support.

You will apply technical expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and controls, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable facility operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• At least 4 years in facilities maintenance, building operations, or related technical roles.
• Valid driver’s license; forklift and JLG/aerial lift certifications or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot facility utility and building systems including HVAC equipment, electrical distribution, plumbing, BAS, and fire protection.
• Conduct regular rounds and inspections to ensure operational reliability and prevent downtime.
• Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs; maintain procedures and inspection routes.
• Monitor BAS alarms and system performance; optimize energy use and system efficacy.
• Document maintenance activities in CMMS and keep accurate records for audit readiness.
