Job summary

EMCOR Facilities Services, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, maintenance, and appearance of assigned offices and laboratories.

The role provides leadership to facility personnel, technicians, and service providers to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operation of building systems. The successful candidate will coordinate maintenance activities, manage vendor performance, monitor conditions, and support budget planning across multiple properties,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in facilities management or related field; equivalent education considered.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of facility management, building operations, maintenance supervision, or related leadership experience.
• Experience supporting commercial office, laboratory, life sciences, healthcare, higher education, or industrial facilities.
• Demonstrated experience supervising facility personnel and managing service providers.
• Knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and general building maintenance.
• Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation and maintenance of assigned office and laboratory facilities to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable performance.
• Lead facility staff, technicians, and support personnel; promote safety, accountability, customer service, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules, corrective repairs, and planned projects with external vendors; monitor contractor performance and safety compliance.
• Ensure employees perform duties safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Monitor facility conditions and address issues impacting occupant comfort, safety, or regulatory compliance.
