Job summary

Wolfoods seeks an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at a busy summer camp. You will oversee all prep and production for a designated day part, manage staff, and ensure strict allergen safety compliance in a fast-paced, on-site setting.

This is a seasonal, live‑in position (May–Sept) with a 6‑day/70‑hour week, offering competitive pay, a bonus potential, and full room & board plus travel allowance. You will play a key role in camp dining and safety.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities; able to navigate I-Pad.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee prep, production, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking and timely meal service.
• Strictly manage food allergy protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan, etc.) and maintain top Health Department sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as a liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
