Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced, high-energy Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at a rural summer camp. You will oversee prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and ensure strict allergen safety, all in a fast-paced, on-site environment.

The role is a seasonal contract (May–Sept) with full-time exempt status, offering competitive pay, a bonus, and full room & board for the contract duration.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, baking skills, and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to live on-site in a rustic camp setting for 6 days/70 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff in a high-energy environment.
• Oversee scratch cooking, portion control, and menu specs.
• Manage allergen protocols and health-safety standards.
• Handle inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
