Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at a rural, on-site summer camp. You will supervise prep, production for a day part, manage staff, and uphold allergen safety in a fast-paced setting.

This is a seasonal, on-site live-in position (May–Sept) with a demanding 6-day/70-hour week schedule and competitive pay, plus a bonus and room & board. You will lead a dynamic kitchen team and ensure high-quality meals.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee operational flow, portion control, menu specs, and scratch cooking execution.
• Manage allergen safety protocols and health department sanitation standards.
• Handle inventory management and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
