Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on, on-site role at rural summer camps across the United States. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and ensure strict allergen safety protocols are followed in a fast-paced camp kitchen.

This live-in, seasonal position runs May–September with 6-day work weeks of approximately 70 hours. Competitive pay, a performance bonus, and full room & board are included for the contract duration.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date.
• Strong leadership, scratch baking, able to navigate I-Pad, versatile with ingredients, and sharp problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee operational flow, portion control, menu specs, and scratch cooking execution.
