Job summary

InteLogix is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support designated geographic regions, with a primary focus in California, while offering remote work options for candidates in Alabama and other states. The role covers employee relations, onboarding, performance management, and compliance with CA wage/hour rules and CFRA/PDL.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's in HR or related field, 5+ years of HR generalist experience, CA-specific knowledge, and proficiency with HRIS and MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or relevant experience.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist role.
• 5+ years of HR generalist experience supporting California employees, including CA wage/hour rules, CFRA/PDL leave, PAGA exposure, and California compliance.
• Working knowledge of compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with HRIS systems.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer various HR plans and procedures; assist in policies and handbook maintenance.
• Participate in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
• Conduct new employee orientations; write and revise job descriptions as necessary.
• Handle employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.
• Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend seminars.
• Maintain HRIS records and generate reports from the database.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws.
• Support performance management processes, including disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans.
• Conduct HR investigations as needed and provide recommendations.
