Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. in Indiana seeks a versatile kitchen position responsible for breakfast and/or lunch offerings, serving lines, and occasional catering functions.

You will perform all kitchen positions, assist with set-up, food prep per menu and recipes, and present meals to customers with quality presentation. You will operate equipment with proper certification, maintain clean work areas, follow FIFO and HACCP, manage inventories, and support administrative tasks such as cash

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; or up to one month of related experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos; write simple correspondence.
• Knowledge of HACCP and daily production records.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the set-up of serving lines daily and ensure all food is held at the correct temperatures.
• Prepare foods per menu plan and Opaa! recipes; plan ahead for next day menus.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other equipment with proper certification.
• Keep work areas neat, clean, and organized; clean kitchen and cafeteria areas and dishes.
• Maintain inventory stock and practice FIFO; keep cooler/storage clean.
• Requisition food and supplies through the Kitchen Manager; prepare baked goods as required.
• Batch cook to maintain quality and presentation; set up serving/bar lines.
• Serve items with proper portions; ensure quality presentation and hospitality to customers.
• Keep serving areas stocked with food items, napkins, utensils, and dishes.
