Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to lead cross-discipline modeling efforts for transit and multimodal projects across offices. You will coordinate across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP to deliver federated, clash-checked models.

You will run Navisworks clash detection, guide production teams, establish BIM standards, and mentor staff while ensuring design outputs meet client and DOT requirements throughout the project

Qualifications

• High School diploma with vocational CADD training and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience in CADD/BIM for transit or multimodal projects.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; DOT standards experience.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP to deliver federated, clash-checked models.
• Run clash detection in Navisworks and lead resolution across disciplines.
• Establish and enforce CADD/BIM standards, templates, and workflows across offices.
• Mentor production staff and provide design sketches for finished drawings.
• Perform model health checks and ensure interoperability across Autodesk and Bentley toolsets.
• Develop BIM Execution Plans and advise pursuit teams on LOD and scope.
