Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced Intelligent Modeling professional to lead cross-discipline model coordination for transit and multimodal projects. You will integrate models across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP into federated, clash-checked deliverables.

The role requires strong knowledge of Navisworks for clash detection, development of BIM Execution Plans, and mentoring production staff across offices.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational training in basic CADD drafting technology and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination — coordinate intelligent models across architecture, vertical/transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP.
• Model coordination & clash detection — run clash detection in Navisworks and resolve across disciplines.
• Standards & governance — establish and enforce CADD/BIM standards and workflows across offices.
• Mentorship & guidance — mentor production staff and provide design sketches for drawings.
• Interfaces with clients, agencies, and subconsultants on model deliverable requirements.
• Performs related engineering support tasks and file management.
