Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to support transit and multimodal projects. You will coordinate models across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP to build a federated, clash-checked design deliverable.

The role requires leading clash detection, enforcing BIM/CADD standards, and mentoring junior staff. Domestic travel and office collaboration across US locations are involved.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational tech training in basic CADD drafting and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience is preferred.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Experience coordinating models across multiple disciplines for transit or multimodal projects.
• Knowledge of BIM standards and deliverable requirements.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination across architecture, structures, transportation, roadway design, and MEP into a single federated model.
• Run clash detection in Navisworks and lead cross-discipline resolution.
• Establish and enforce CADD/BIM standards and workflows across offices.
• Mentor production staff and provide design sketches for finished drawings.
• Ensure model integrity, health, and interoperability across Autodesk Bentley toolsets.
