Mediacom Communications is hiring a Broadband Specialist I (Field Technician) to perform new installations, connect services, and support customers in their homes. You will drive a company vehicle, install outlets, and handle service changes, with emphasis on safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to interact with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Comfortable in tight spaces and varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Make customer drop installations from tap to antenna terminals in single- and multi-unit dwellings.
• Perform new connects, reconnects, and changes of service; install/remove outlets and equipment.
• Analyze picture quality and judge acceptability after installation.
• Operate hand and power tools and read general drop system layouts from blueprints.
• Drive company vehicle and perform proper vehicle upkeep.
• Generate additional revenue through information about product options and promotions.
